Position Summary:
The Thrift Store Sales Clerk is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, processing donations, stocking merchandise, and assisting with sales transactions. This role is ideal for someone friendly, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, provide assistance, and deliver exceptional customer service
- Process and record sales
- Sort, clean, price, and prepare items for display
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays while ensuring merchandise is organized and visually appealing
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing donations
- Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and backroom areas
- Follow store policies, safety guidelines, and inventory procedures
- Help identify valuable or unique items and ensure accurate pricing
- Support field team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Basic math skills and comfort using a POS system
Schedule & Compensation:
- Primarily looking for full time employment. Weekends available as well. Striving for 6-7 days a week to be open so there are options here.
- Hourly pay starting at $17/Hr
