The General Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations including; scheduling, completing all jobs and collections, hiring, training, and development, ensuring our teams are operating safely, truck maintenance, networking, customer outreach and communicating with the owners regularly. 


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Minimum of 2-5 years of managing a team of at least 3 direct reports.


  • Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced/high-growth environment.


  • For insurance purposes must have a clean driving record


  • Sales and/or Operational experience a plus.


This position will have a salary pay, PTO and 401k employer match opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Team management: Motivate, lead, and manage a team.


  • Customer Service: Talk to every customer with exceptional service, communication, and attitude


  • Sales: Onsite selling, up-selling, customer service.


  • Truck Operations: Safely operate the trucks at all times. Make sure daily inspections, monthly maintenance, and upkeep are performed.


  • Junk Removal: Heavy lifting and removal of junk (i.e. couches, mattresses, appliances, yard waste, etc.) from businesses, residential, and government sites.


  • Marketing: Working to build and maintain the company brand and image. Ensure that there are enough materials on the truck for marketing drop-offs and upsells.


  • Time Management: Be able to make logistical decisions within the provided daily schedule (when to dispose of, how to best complete a job, how to market during downtimes)


  • Sales: Educate clients about pricing and services and the benefit to them prior to giving an estimate and ensuring a positive experience. Be able to confidently price jobs aggressively to meet or exceed targets/goals. Make regular bank deposits. Contact customers that are billed customers to collect payments regularly. Communicate regularly with owners.

  • Strong customer service/people skills


  • Must be able to problem solve on the job


  • Excellent communication skills


  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.


  • Preference for working in a fast-paced environment


  • Ability to work without direct supervision
